Greater Glens Falls Transit announces a limited-service schedule to help local residents who still need to travel during the New York State on Pause mandate.
Starting Monday, April 27th, GGFT will offer its Route 11/12 service up Glen Street towards the Queensbury retail district in the morning, and Route 4 service to Hudson Falls and Fort Edward in the afternoon. Service in the morning will begin at 8AM, going up Glen Street towards Aviation Road, splitting with top-of-the-hour trips heading towards the Montcalm Apartments, and bottom-of-the-hour trips heading towards the Route 9 Walmart before finishing at the Target at Aviation Mall on its way back to Glens Falls.
The last Glen Street run will depart Glens Falls at 12:00pm.
In the afternoon buses will head up Ridge Street onto Dix Avenue, passing by the Quaker-Ridge Walmart before heading down Boulevard to head into Hudson Falls, then travels down Route 4 down to Fort Edward before reversing course to head back to Glens Falls. The first of four hourly runs departs Downtown Glens Falls at 1:00pm.
All runs will originate at the Ridge Street bus terminal, located across from City Hall, and are Monday-Friday only with no weekend service. Passengers seeking bus service will be required to wear a mask to adhere to Gov. Cuomo’s mask mandate, with those not wearing a mask upon boarding the bus being refused service. All buses will operate with limited seating, with areas being roped off to encourage greater social distancing while riding.
