ARGYLE – The 13th annual Carl Lufkin Memorial Pull for a Cure is returning to Argyle on Saturday, July 16th for a day filled with fun for the whole family. The event begins at 10 A.M. at the Lufkin field behind 10 Main Street in Argyle. The event will feature one of the largest 4 Wheel Drive Truck, Farm Tractor and Garden Tractor pulls in the area. In past years, the event has brought over 250 Garden Tractors and over 140 4WD truck and Farm Tractors to Argyle for a full day of pulling.
In addition to pulling, there will be food trucks on site to serve the whole family all day long, plus a vendors area selling arts and crafts and other wares.
Admission to this event is $10 per adult, $30 per carload, with kids under 10 free, and all proceeds from this event go towards several local cancer fighting charities, including The American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Cancer Research Center. As well, some proceeds will go towards The Lufkin Legacy Foundation which provides scholarships for local high school graduates. In the past, the Carl Lufkin Memorial Pull for a Cure has raised over $180,000 for the American Cancer Society and other associated charities.
There will be primitive camping available for free, with the area for campers being made available on Friday Night before the event.
