Last week I questioned whether it was silly to have electronic signs on the Northway warning of ridiculous amounts of traffic on Monday, 4/8 for the Solar Eclipse. I thought there may be a slight uptick in traffic on that day, but had no idea how much traffic there would be. Travelling home yesterday on Route 4 coming between Fort Ann and Comstock, NY, the traffic coming south was backed up like I've never seen. I also so the footage from the Northway heading towards Lake Placid, Plattsburgh and Burlington Vermont. I always try to admit when I'm wrong on something. In this case, I was definitely wrong.
Update on the eclipse
