Wearable Device Can Detect Breast Cancer

Researchers at MIT have developed a wearable device which can fit in standard bra, which can detect the early stages of a tumor, as small as 0.3 centimeters in diameter. The device uses ultrasound images and allows wearers to monitor their breast tissue for any abnormalities at home. This device could be invaluable for those at high risk of developing breast cancer, as the survival rate is nearly 100 percent when detected in the earliest stages.
