NATUREFEST
Moreau Lake State Park

Park entry fee waived. Friends of Moreau Lake State Park will be hosting this fun-filled day of interactive nature related activities which will include live animals, educational booths, rescue organizations, wagon rides and music. Fun crafts and activities for the kids like birdhouse building, face painting, pumpkin painting and much more. The Friends Group will have food, baked goods and a silent auction with proceeds benefiting the non-profit’s support of the park, through various educational programs and other activities.

THE WAIT HOUSE SUNSET DINNER CRUISE FUNDRAISER
Onboard the Lac Du Saint Sacrement, Lake George Steamboat Company

The Wait House is holding a sunset dinner cruise fundraiser on the Lac Du Saint Sacrement on Lake George Saturday, September 14th from 6pm to 8pm. Enjoy a buffet dinner, the beauty of Lake George, a silent auction and dancing. This goes towards The Wait House, whose mission is to help local at risk and homeless youth and their families.

CHESTERTOWN 5k & 10k RACE
Chester Town Hall - Main Street, Chestertown
SAT 9/21 - 9:30AM Race Start
The 5k and 10k races being held in Chestertown are a part of the Adirondack Marathon Distance Festival, which the main races will be held on Sunday, September 22nd. This year's race, like last year, is being sponsored by the Chestertown Rotary Club.
Runners will be able to register at the Chester Town Hall on Friday, September 20th from 3pm to 7pm, and online at http://www.adirondackmarathon.org. They also can register the day of the race at 7:30am. All runners will receive a t-shirt and a swag bag.
There will be music, food and a basket raffle at the finish line. Prizes include a boat rental from EZ Marine, an overnight stay and dinner at the Lodge at Schroon Lake, and other prizes.
All proceeds will go to the Chestertown Rotary Club, whose projects include Christmas with Santa, Dynamite Hill improvements, High School Senior Scholarships, and the Electronic Sign replacement project at the North Warren Chamber office.
DOWN & OUT SPAGHETTI DINNER FOR FIREFIGHTER FOX-GOLDBERG
O.P. Frederick's Restaurant, Loon Lake

Chestertown Firefighter Jonathan Fox-Goldberg suffered a serious motor vehicle accident while commuting home from his employment on Friday, August 16th. He was transported to a trauma center and has incurred prolonged stays at Albany Medical Center. This spaghetti dinner is to raise money to help offset his medical costs.
Spaghetti Dinner will be $20, by cash or by check. While walk-ins are welcomed, a purchase of a ticket in advance is encouraged to help anticipate demand. In addition, donations can be accepted directly to Firefighter Fox-Goldberg.
