It's all part of the Alive Downtowns initiative
Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara announced that nearly $1 million has been included in this year’s New York State Budget for Proctors Theatre through the Alive Downtowns! initiative. The $968,000 investment will support one of downtown Schenectady’s premier performing arts venues, helping sustain performances, educational programming, and community events. Proctors serves as a major economic driver for the city, bringing visitors downtown who support local restaurants, shops, hotels, and other businesses. Santabarbara said the investment reflects the important role Proctors plays in strengthening Schenectady’s economy and continuing the city’s downtown revitalization.
