In effect until 9pm Tuesday
Bad weather has been moving through New York State, severe storms have already been reported south and west of Albany. On Tuesday at 2pm the National Weather Service in Albany issued a tornado watch for Columbia, Fulton, Greene Montgomery and Schoharie Counties.
Much of the Hudson Valley is also under a Tornado Watch until 9pm.
A 'watch' does not mean a tornado is imminent, but does mean conditions are moving in the direction where a funnel cloud is possible. Heavy rain, hail and damaging wind gusts are likely.
