The New York Lottery announces a winning Powerball ticket, worth $50,000 was recently sold in our area.
The third prize ticket was sold at the Star Fuels on Upper Glen Street in Queensbury for the Saturday, January 31st drawing. The winning numbers for the drawing was 2, 8, 14, 40 and 63, with the Powerball being 23. The $50,000 winner matches 4 of the white balls plus the Powerball, which has odds set of 1 in 913,129.
The winning ticket will have to be redeemed at either the New York Lottery headquarters in Schenectady, or one of the New York Lottery service centers, which includes at Saratoga Casino Hotel in Saratoga Springs.
