Warren County Sheriffs Office and Glens Falls Police requested the lockdown during a manhunt
The Glens Falls Police, along with the Warren County Sheriffs Office, have placed the Kensington Road Elementary School under lockdown.
The lockdown is in place while the two agencies are conducting a manhunt.
A subject ran away from patrol officers of the Warren County Sheriffs Department at around 11:20am in the vicinity of the Market 32 on Upper Glen Street in Queensbury, running towards the City of Glens Falls by way of Cole's Woods. Due to the proximity of Cole's Woods to the school, it was requested by Glens Falls Police to the school district that a lockdown be placed. Police urge that there are no direct threats to the public or the school, and that the lockdown is a preventive safety measure.
Both agencies are patrolling heavily the Fire Road region near Crandall Park.
More updates will be posted as they come in.
