The stunning news came Wednesday by way of a Facebook post
KINGSBURY - If you were longing wood-fire pizza, wings or drinks in Kingsbury, you might want to get to Fire Rock this week.
The staff was told the restaurant, on the property of Kingsbury National Golf Course just outside of Hudson Falls, was shutting down by new owners Schermerhorn Property due to liability reasons, effective Monday, as was posted by the restaurant on Facebook on Wednesday.
All future events to be held at the facility appear to be cancelled, and the staff will be out of a job after this weekend once the establishment runs out of food, or Monday, whatever comes first.
Schermerhorn purchased the golf course recently with the design to keep the course open, with the help of former Adirondack Phantom Shane Harper. After announcement of the purchase, hopes remained high, but those hopes were dashed just days later with the release of that Facebook posting.
